Black Cat Writers is a new poetry and prose 'performance'
group, based in St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex, UK.
On alternate Wednesdays, we have been holding an open mic session. It's not a critique
or therapy group - this is about entertainment, and the chance to read to a
small audience, or just listen. All are welcome. Entrance is free.
However, The Rooms in St Leonards on Sea (our former venue) has now
closed. So we need to find a new - watch this space for details!
Once we find somewhere, you'll again be able to come along and read something - poetry, short stories, life stories,
shopping lists, love letters, your manifesto for a new society, something
scribbled on the back of a fag packet ... or listen and enjoy a drink in
whatever splendidly alternative venue we can find ...
This website will grow as the group gets off the ground, with a blog of the
events and examples of work by contributors.
